kerosene can make things burn

after lots of accumulated brush and wood from the Spartan (see PT homesteading for updates) we decided to have another bonfire. Last time i did this, i had to use some paint thinner to get things going. bonfires in the drippy PNW winter are hard, especially when most of your burnables are wet or recently cut. Bob pours on the karosene to get this puppy going, and going it gets.
a staple for bonfires...burritos! and a burrito is not complete without my new favorite condiment from Costa Rica. thanks Julie!
marms, this shot is for you...PA, still going strong!

that's what tasty looks like
bob pulls up plenty of chopped down Elderberry to fuel the fire

no animals were harmed in the making of this photo
the next day, coals still smoltering.
