mario & manhattans

after an emotionally long day at the ER with Bobby ~ we were treated to an evening of Bob's Classic Panini's (homemade sourdough bread, double fried french fries, special slaw and pan seared provolone).
after our gut filling dinner we had a dessert of manhattans and a special evening prepared for facials!
thanks to Mary for gifting me all my special face goodies.
cleanse, mask, toner, moisturize, eye treament...feeling much better today, or at least hopefully looking better.

skips new ride

yep ~ believe your eyes! that is indeed Bobby in the front seat of Skip's new toy.

skip and bobby taking a spin through the neighborhood
who's a happy guy?

tuppens for bobby

i have finally had the resources (thanks marilyn!) to set up a little satelite work station to construct some tuppens out of. a few days ago i sent out a postcard promoting special custom tuppens for a set price ~ blankets, aprons, totes...you name it. all proceeds are going to my big, best, boy ~ Bobby. my sweet little cancer patient has been at my side day & night, for coffee & pup cakes (thanks Mark!), for manhattans & chocolate. A few pics of Bobby post his first big walk since surgery...less than a city block. He was pooped for the rest of the day, but was more than content to sit at my side as i ironed, cut & sewed. always in the game, no matter the attraction...my bobby is right there.

thinking of winter

it's been in the mid 90's here in columbus ~ not to cozy for thick winter skinned folks like bob and myself. here is bob re-reading one of our favorite books about wintering in rural montana: Winter by Rick Bass ~ wishful thinking!

a too hot day to eat, meant a not to hot day in the air conditioning to use the deep fryer to drum up some tortilla chips, fresh made salsa with local tomatoes, onions & herbs & of course some of that good old green stuff.
to wash it down, a great beer from Brooklyn (thanks meghan for turning us on!) that seems to be everywhere here!?
