fun with illustration

our dearly missed friends Karyn & Jason have moved to the greener pastures of Wingum Australia to start a new venture in cob building. In the interim i have been playing around with some illustrations to help promote the cob mob...this is the first run without color. I'm partial to the strega nona style river:)

bagel uniforms

we have had our first run of personal uniforms for Managment, Bagler,
Consult'er & Pedal'er.
Also our first humble and small press release that Consult'er made so nicely into
a booty shakin' mix for us.

knead, bake, pedal

thursday nights are when we clock in for bagel fridays. at 7pm we are allowed into the pub so that Bob can mix, knead, form and retard all 72 bagels for baking in the morning. While he gets all floury, i prep ingredients for anything special we choose to have on the menu, or in this case...i stay home with an adult drink, print up the menu and post new items on the blog:). Bob and i are really excited about our new mega hauling bicycle that we got and both took quick advantage of her today whilst picking up food & drinks. Here is Bob in night vision with head lamp stowing ALL bagel making crap into the saddle bags getting ready to bike on uptown to the pub...

the night before bageling

management sips an adult beverage and gets the menu a ready ~
not without a regular call to the consult'er to confirm the run down!

new wheels

finally! the long awaited Xtracycle has made it's way...our way. Bob and i have been anxious to get our hands on this amazing mode of transportation for some time. Thanks to Steve at the Wildernest, Bob did a little work in exchange for one. The beauty of this elongated bike?

"Imagine your favorite bike, with the rear wheel stretched out behind the seat, a big, stable platform for a load or a passenger, and elegant saddlebags on either side that are expandable when you need them and are cleanly out of the way when you don't. Best of all, your bike is still lightweight and fast, and because the load is centered between your two wheels, the whole package handles with ease. Suddenly you have much less need or desire to drive around town for your errands. Picture this: a breezy unloaded ride to your favorite grocery store, coasting reliably around corners; arriving ahead of traffic; parking at the rack directly in front of the entrance; shopping and easily loading your four bags of groceries; then pedaling home, care-free on a bike that handles just as swiftly now that it’s loaded."

not to mention that hauling groceries is so much easier and bob can give me a lift all over town! Just love it.

horseshoe lake & a crime scene

well, at least that is what i liked to pretend once i found the creepy duct tape glove with mini hook attached laying in a ditch where we were hiking about.
It's much more enjoyable to let your imagination run wild as your survey the land for the dumping of dead bodies ~ er, just broken glass from derelict kids with guns. all the same it was a unique exploration of territory and the dogs certainly didn't seem to mind the frozen lake, broken glass or 1980's cans of vintage beer we found. Bottoms Up!

jerry christmas ~ where are you?

seattle means top pot & topless

okay, okay...so we didn't hit the town topless, but love getting a glimps of the lusty lady's marque ~ always a clever note! We had a great day date in seattle prior to x-mas via the short lived passenger ferry from pt - downtown. Among the tasty snacks consumed: Delaurentis Pizza, Top Pot Doughnuts, Pam's Kitchen Roti's, and beers from Bottleworks...all the while walking and busing around in the rain ~ a perfect day for us!
