farm fresh butter ~ made at home

there are lots of tutorials online for making butter at home, and it really is as easy as they say. i used a local, well to ohio, heavy whipping cream that is wonderfully thick and non-hemoganized...what came from it is smooth, creamy butter!

sooooo, is this like your first Casa Experience?

bob and i woke up at 5 am last friday to embark on our big day trip to the Bob Evans Farm Fest in Rio Grande, Ohio. we deliberately woke so early so that we could be in Athens by 8 am for breakfast at Casa Nuevo ~ a crunchy, hippy, beatnik mexican place, of course. the food was incredible & creatively vegetarian. when our waitress came up to the table and said with a long drawl...so, is this like your first Casa xperience? i about peed my pants, dude.

best part of the day, stumbling across the goats on back roads..this one suckled my finger against it's teeth...then i had stinky goat finger all day, daphne loved it & i love goats.
