the ladies and I...and well Jonah Bub & Fela Pup...got together for a mash up of sacred and seasonal events. Being the Day of Atonement we decided to recognize Yom Kippur while also relishing in some wonderful fall bounty from the garden.we enjoyed German Potato Pancakes (i know, not very Jewish) applesauce that i canned last year in Ohio, fresh greens and apple vinegrette and wild picked chanterelles from my good friend Leif.

Fela absolutley loves Daphne's "squirelles in a log" toy. no matter where i hide it before he comes over, he somehow locates it. Here he is giving me the paw...which i taught him when he was a pup, much to Karyn & Jason's dismay.

Jonah recently cut his two top teeth, so anything he could reach went into that little gob of his. he found some strange solace in this prep bowl. clickety clack against his nibblers.
