shrooms, bagels and birthdays

i thought i was busy. and that juggling everyday obligations was tough...but then there is Jesse. He's as busy as me...slinging coffee, greasing chains and projecting plays, night after night after night. Plus a 10 mile a day commute by bike to his lil' cabin. BUT, we still find time to hike. Although the lower Big Quilcene may not warrant a sweat, it does prove well in terms of late spring mushrooms identification and just plain sucking in some oxygen. Thanks Jesse, for being my right hand man on the mountain.

so it's a dumb shot, and why i put it up twice is even dumber, but hell, i'm on beer 4. Packing for an overnight is one of my favorite things. I love the organization, the planning, the collecting. and here i did just that. pulled out our copious amounts of gear tubs and selected just what i wanted...looks like MSR wins by a long shot.
this monday/tuesday will be the first overnight we do as PTAC....DUCKABUSH, heads up, we're gonna rip you up.

it's crazy. my 34th b-day marks the first day of Market and embarassingly enough i was gifted gifts, flowers and a full on chorus of b-day songs in mid market....red, red with love...thanks friends!

first day of market! huge success!

me making the "Men at Work" toasted bagel with VEGEMITE, smoked tomato Field Roast, Tillamook Cheddar Cheese and organic Midori Farms greens........
