Port Townsend Adventure Club, otherwise just known as the adventure club, was founded this spring over a evening pot luck. co-members are friends & cohorts Jesse Wiegel, Ben Valentine, Vasily Lewis, Myself and other pals who come and go. Our mission is to fill our spare time with as many hikes, bikes, breakfasts, potlucks, overnights, paddles and creative shenanigans as we can. On this fine day we tried to make way to the Upper Lena Lake, but got sent back due to snow. A good 12+ mile day hike and some geoduck to follow...

Ben soaks up an abnormally warm day in February above lower Lena lake.

what i love about day hikes is that you can go ultra light or you can totally justify carrying luxuriant items for lunch such as: a mason jar of curry with chopsticks. canned tuna, whole raw vegetables and fruits, jars of mayonnaise, peanut butter, hummus, sprouts, bread, hunk of cheese, bars of chocolate and $ 30 worth of trail mix...the list goes on. So adorably Ben & Jesse lay out their spread.

just part of the ever weird menu at Geoduck in Brinnon
