marilyn and i took full advantage of a crisp and cloudy (rare here) day in Columbus and ventured out to a local orchard. nothing helps launch the season as a u-pick day with a harvest in front of you saying "what's on the menu now?".

well, no seasonal spirit found in finding dirty childrens unders sprawled up in a jonathon tree...but what a surprise!
marilyn poked fun at me as i gingerly chose what and when to pick. featured at the left was my first golden delish...
i opted for upper tree apples that required a bit of a stretch, not that they taste any different.
