one thing that holds true for this trip back to columbus is that each day we are surprised with some new and fasinating aspect of the city. we learned that right in the township of Gahanna (where bob's folks live) there are 3 places to pick your own herbs...for free. and they aren't some crap hole in someone's backyard, they are beautifully landscaped, chalked full of tastey herbs for the taking. we snagged up some lovage, marjoram, basil, oregano, tarragon & parsley for a dinner full of fresh flavor thanks to Friendship Park, City Hall Gardens and the Herb Educational Institution of Gahanna!
